Hey
everyone! Recently you should have noticed that I have been preparing
some posts about Nepal, well the reason I have been posting about Nepal
and its facts is because I am disappointed by the fact that there are
only a few report or information in internet about Nepal. So I have been
posting about Nepal to fill the gap left open in the internet. Here I will
be talking about Nepal’s military strength and its prowess.
Nepal and its Military Strength
Nepal
is a
small country
located in South Asia and wedged
between two giants powerful
countries,
India and China,
with an area of 147,181 square kilometers and a population of
approximately 30 million. Known
for being one of the poorest and least developed countries in the
world, Nepal has about
half of its population unemployed and roughly
one-quarter of its population living below the poverty line. Nepal’s
total GDP is about $21.14
billion(2016).
The economy is heavily dependent on imports of basic materials,
export
of local products,
remittances
and
on foreign markets for its forest and agricultural products. As
an agricultural country,
Nepal’s more than half of
the population
is involved in agriculture with low productivity. Industrialization
in Nepal is still in its beginning phase and tourism is expanding
industry.
Soon
after the two challenging years due to two great earthquakes, Nepal
took on 30 thousand casualties, about 10 thousand lives and damage of
estimated $10 billions. Additionally,
Nepal faced a
complete
disruption in cross-border trade with India causing
fuel crisis all over Nepal.
However, Nepal was able to get back into its tracks by initiating a
series of management reforms and other restoration activities which resulted on the increase of
economic growth rate by whopping 7.5% which is considered the highest growth rate since 1994.

Nepal also has been contributing towards other countries when needed. At last but not the least, Nepal is known to sent many of its feared and tough fighters known as Gorkhas in countries such as Britain, India and several other countries.
Note: I don’t take any credit for the above images. I have prepared the above information by using several data I collected from certified websites and reports of many organizations. I apologize to you(readers) for any mistake or something I have missed on this post and also want to say that Nepal although recognized as 'weak' worldwide isn't absolutely powerless.
